IT company HumanWare’s Group Human Resources Manager Narelle Burke says the event gave her a new line of thinking.

“For me, when you are trying to make change in organisation, the key person who has influence is the HR manager. They are responsible for getting staff in line with the vision and values, for managing its culture and speaking a common language.”

Kathrin Winkelmann, AuCom’s Product Innovation Researcher, says she found the CD of the speakers’ presentations given to attendees hugely useful and has gone over it since. “It was a wonderful experience. The whole thing was valuable as it is a new area to me. It was a huge learning curve,” she says.
