About John Bongard

John Bongard began his tenure with Fisher & Paykel in 1973 as a Purchasing Cadet. Over the following years, his role diversified and developed into, among others, Manager of Group Purchasing, Marketing Manager, Commercial Manager and, eventually, General Manager of Whiteware in 1987. During this time, he also gained a bachelor of commerce degree in marketing.

In 2001, John was appointed Managing Director Fisher & Paykel Appliances. After two years in this role, he celebrated the considerable achievement of 30 years with F&P and the following year, 2004, saw John appointed to the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive.
