Sustainable design is a powerful sales driver for Methven in overseas markets. Offshore sales accounted for 43 per cent of the company’s operating revenue in 2007. In Australia, where water conservation is at the forefront of consumers’ concerns, shower and tapware sales rose 54 per cent to $23.7 million in 2007.

Methven is making the most of the business opportunities for innovative products that deliver customer quality and environmental benefit. The opportunity is expressed at all levels of the business.

As CEO of Methven Australia, Matthew has overseen generational change across Australia and New Zealand to help Methven become a design and innovation-led organisation. Matthew was Managing Director of Flexispray when it was bought by Methven in 2003. Since then he has become part of Methven’s global strategy team, involved in company acquisitions and global product launches. Matthew is based in Melbourne, at Methven’s new Australian headquarters in Collingwood.
